Nautilus Insurance Group (Nautilus) will begin writing personal umbrella and related coverages nationwide through a new office in California.
Ann Boman-Clark has been named vice president, underwriting – personal umbrella. She has more than 35 years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry. In addition, Douglas Weisskopf has been named assistant vice president, underwriting – personal umbrella. He has nearly 10 years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry. The appointments are effective immediately.
Nautilus anticipates making personal umbrella and related coverages available to agents in phases in the next 30-60 days on a non-admitted basis. By early 2014, the products are expected to be offered on an admitted basis.
Nautilus insures excess and surplus lines risks for small to medium-sized commercial risks with low to moderate susceptibility to loss. It writes commercial excess and surplus lines business nationwide and admitted lines commercial business in a number of states. A substantial portion of Nautilus’ business is written through its network of general agents, who are chosen on a highly selective basis.
