QBE North America said it has promoted Erin Fry to senior vice president and underwriting leader for its Specialty Programs division.
Fry will be responsible for the strategic underwriting plan for QBE specialty products delivered through the managing general agency and underwriter (MGA/MGU) distribution channel with appointed program administrators. She will work with program administrators to underwrite niche specialty programs.
Based in Philadelphia, Fry will report to Jeff Grange, president, Specialty Insurance.
Before joining QBE last year, Fry spent seven years at XL Catlin, serving as environmental claims counsel before becoming vice president for underwriting and then head of professional liability programs. Fry began her career as a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
