People Moves: Tiesi Joins Canopius as US Head of Financial Lines

Canopius Group, headquartered in Chicago, named John Tiesi as U.S. Head of Financial Lines. Tiesi leads the financial lines portfolio across Canopius’ U.S. operations.

Tiesi has over 25 years of experience in financial and professional liability underwriting, with expertise in supporting financial and commercial institutions across the middle market. He joins Canopius from Marsh, where he spent nearly 16 years in senior leadership roles, most recently serving as QSG FINPRO national practice leader. Before that, he held positions including managing director and senior vice president within Marsh’s FINPRO practice. Earlier in his career, John spent almost nine years at Zurich North America as a senior underwriting specialist for financial lines.
