A Marksville, La., agent and her agency have been issued cease and desist orders, summary suspensions and fine notices for allegedly allowing an employee to conduct the business of insurance without a license, the Louisiana Department of Insurance reported.
Pamela Kay St. Romain and her agency, Quality Insurance Agency LLC., were served with C&D orders, summary suspensions and a $2,100 fine notice each for allegedly allowing an employee to conduct insurance business without a license.
Michelle Danielle Coco was also issued a C&D order and $500 fine notice for conducting the business of insurance without a license.
St. Romain was issued a Property, Casualty and Vehicle Physical Damage license in July 1999 and a Life Accident and Health license in July 1998.
Quality Insurance Agency LLC., was issued a Property, Casualty and Vehicle Physical Damage license in August 2009.
All licenses were valid until being summarily suspended and will be permanently revoked 30 days from the current action now unless hearings are requested with the Department.
