KPLC reports the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana raised the department’s rating to Class 3 from its previous Class 4 on a 10-point scale.
Vinton Fire Chief, Jerry Merchant said ratings are evaluated every five years and in a process that looks at various elements of fire protection.
