December 6, 2012

Kristina E. Donaldson, a commercial insurance account manager with Messer-Bowers Co. in Enid, Okla., who was named Risk Management Professional of the Year at the Region VI Conference of the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) earlier this year, has added another entry to a long list of achievements in her insurance career.

Donaldson, a recipient of the President’s CPCU Scholarship, recently was awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) by The Institutes. The scholarship award is designed to recognize high performing individuals within the property-casualty insurance industry. It covers the cost of CPCU textbooks, course guides, SMART Study Aids, and exam registration fees.

Donaldson began her insurance career in 2003 as a customer service representative for Messer-Bowers. She is active with the Insurance Association of Enid (a local association of the International Association of Insurance Professionals) since 2004 including service for two terms as local association president.

Donaldson attained the CISR (Certified Insurance Service Representative) and CPIW (Certified Professional Insurance Woman) designations in 2008, the AINS (Associate in Insurance) in 2010, and the DAE (Diversified Advanced Education) designation in 2011.

She was named the 2010 Oklahoma Outstanding CSR of the Year by the National Alliance for Insurance Education and was one of the top five national finalists that year.
