Louisiana State Police say a Leesville man was killed and his wife was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a deer at night.
Master Trooper Daniel “Scott” Moreau says 53-year-old Gordon Bolton and 57-year-old Monika Bolton both were wearing helmets when the deer ran out from the median of Highway 28 in the Leesville area.
He says both were thrown from the Boltons’ 2003 Harley Davidson about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Moreau says Monika Bolton is being treated at Rapides Regional Trauma Center.
The accident remains under investigation.
