Texas based independent insurance firm, Higginbotham, hired Peter Clarke, as senior loss control consultant in its Corpus Christi office.
The Corpus Christi loss control department serves customers throughout the state. The department helps businesses identify their property and liability exposures and develop strategies to improve safety, avoid claims, minimize financial loss and maintain regulatory compliance.
Clarke has broad experience evaluating property, products liability, auto fleet, workers’ compensation and general liability exposures and developing controls will help businesses in diverse industries prevent accidents, reduce insurance costs and strengthen regulatory compliance.
For the past 10 years, Clarke has been a contracted risk control consultant based in Bishop, Texas, for YORK/FARA Risk Control Services, U.S. Reports and Secure Risk Control Services.
Clarke started his 27-year career in Houston’s private sector as a safety director for several steel products companies. He helped them achieve a 60-85 percent reduction in loss frequency and up to a 40 percent reduction in workers’ compensation cost.
He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Field Safety Representative (FSR) and Continuing Education Claims Manager (CECM).
