The Arkansas governor has issued disaster declarations for 14 counties following severe storms, flooding and tornadoes that began late last month.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson on March 9 declared the disasters citing damage to private property and public facilities from the storms and flooding that began Feb. 20. Hutchinson said the declarations will help provide assistance as quickly as possible to the affected areas.
Hutchinson has issued disaster declarations for Arkansas, Bradley, Chicot, Clark, Clay, Cleveland, Desha, Faulkner, Lee, Lonoke, Mississippi, Ouachita, Randolph and White counties.
