Authorities say one person has been critically hurt and two others suffered lesser injuries in a scaffolding and construction elevator accident in a North Texas business district.
Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman Mike Drivdahl says it appears a construction elevator on the outside of a building partially collapsed around midday Wednesday.
Investigators will try to determine what caused the downtown Fort Worth accident that left bricks and other building debris scattered along a sidewalk next to the multistory building.
Drivdahl says one person was in critical condition and transported to a hospital. He says two other victims were treated at the scene. Officials didn’t immediately provide additional details on the injured.
Fort Worth police blocked off several nearby streets following the accident.
Further details weren’t immediately available.
