DeRidder, Louisiana-based workers’ compensation insurer, Amerisafe Inc., has named Andrew McCray as its new executive vice president and chief underwriting officer.
McCray comes to Amerisafe with more than 30 years of insurance industry experience. Prior to joining Amerisafe, he was senior director – Global P&C Strategy and Product Innovation for Assurant. He also previously served as business leader for commercial lines and vice president and director of regional underwriting operations for Utica National Insurance Group. His experience also includes leadership positions at Selective, RLI Corporation and Westfield Insurance.
Amerisafe Inc. is a specialty provider of workers’ compensation insurance focused on small to mid-sized employers engaged in hazardous industries, principally construction, trucking, logging and lumber, manufacturing, and agriculture. Amerisafe actively markets workers’ compensation insurance in 27 states.
