Symphony Risk Solutions announced it is opening an office in Austin, Texas to be led by Matt Burns, who was named president of the firm’s growing specialty business.
As the leader of Symphony Build, Burns will oversee due diligence, evaluation, and identification of key risk factors on behalf of real estate and hospitality clients across the United States. Burns will manage and coordinate Symphony Risk’s specialized service model with a focus on identifying and reducing the overall cost of risk.
Burns has a background in providing risk advisory, alternative risk transfer and consulting solutions to the global real estate and hospitality industry.
Burns joins Symphony Risk with 30 years of insurance experience with a primary focus on real estate insurance solutions.
Previously, he spent 10 years at Willis Towers Watson, and worked at Stephens Insurance, Higginbotham Insurance and NHP Partners, serving in management, production and client service roles. His work with public and privately held companies gives him a broad sense of market strategies and creative solutions.
