Florida-based Sunshine State Insurance Company has been honored by the National Flood Insurance Program for growth in new business production. The award was presented at the recent NFIP annual
conference in Marco Island, Fla.
Michael Weis, program manager, accepted the award on behalf of the
company. Sunshine State was one of five companies throughout the nation that received the Administrator’s Club Award for achieving the largest percentage increase in new NFIP business under the “Write Your Own” program. A total of 99 companies participate in the program.
“We’re proud to be recognized by the NFIP for our efforts in 2004,” said John Rogan, president and CEO of Sunshine. “We’re pleased to offer this important product and especially grateful to our independent agents and National Flood Services for their support in making this program available to our valued policyholders.”
Formed in 1997, Sunshine State Insurance Company specializes in homeowners and condominium insurance in the states of Florida and South Carolina. In addition, Sunshine State provides Builders Risk insurance for members of the Florida Home Builders Association.
