Brown & Brown Inc. of Tampa and Daytona Beach, Fla. has acquired the assets of The Fossi Group Inc. doing business as Sleeping Giant Agency Inc. of Steamboat Springs, Colo. The acquisition was announced jointly by Kenneth D. Kirk, regional executive vice president of Brown & Brown and Linda Fossi-Williams, president of The Fossi Group.
Sleeping Giant Agency, with annualized revenues of approximately $1.9 million, is a retail general insurance agency serving clients in Steamboat Springs and the surrounding Rocky Mountain area. The staff of Sleeping Giant Agency will join Brown & Brown’s existing Steamboat Springs operation, under the leadership of Scott Mayor, profit center manager.
Brown & Brown, Inc. and its subsidiaries offer a broad range of insurance and reinsurance products and services, as well as risk management, third-party administration, and managed health care programs.
