Three Mississippi organizations will share in $99,000 housing preservation program funds from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., announced the grants on Dec. 3.
Thompson says the Warren Washington Issaquena Sharkey Community Action Agency Inc. is receiving $45,000 to repair 7-to-10 single family homes in Warren, Washington, Issaquena and Sharkey counties.
Thompson says the South Central Community Action Agency Inc. will get $27,028 to help two low-income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes. The agency serves Claiborne, Madison, Rankin, Simpson and Walthall counties.
Another $27,028 is going to Mountain of Faith Ministries in Vicksburg to help four low-income homeowners in repairing and rehabilitating their homes. Mountain of Faith Ministries is an emergency homeless shelter for women and children.
