Orion180, one of the latest entrants into the Florida market, has also begun writing homeowners policies in noncoastal areas of Mississippi and Alabama.
The policies will be written through admitted insurer Orion180 Select Insurance Co., the Melbourne, Florida-based firm said in a news release this week. Ken Gregg is CEO.
The company will market its products through independent distribution partners in Alabama and Mississippi. Its surplus lines carrier is Orion180 Insurance.
The company plans to continue its expansion in 2023 and 2024, including into Indiana and Georgia, and independent agents are invited to inquire at the firm’s website, Gregg said.
