Specialty Program Group, a specialty insurance brokerage and distribution firm headquartered in Chicago, has acquired Florida-based ANOVA Marine Insurance, a managing general agent and Lloyd’s coverholder.
ANOVA, in business since 2011, offers automated coverage and global policies for cargo, and logistics, as well as liability and bonds for shipping lines, trading companies, and freight forwarders, the companies said.
With offices in Miami and New Jersey, ANOVA will continue to be helmed by founder and President Bradford Boyd. The firm also named new people to key positions:
- Andrew Voke, with more than 40 years of experience, joins as senior advisor. He previously served as head of marine, aviation and political risks at Chaucer Syndicates, and was international head of marine and energy at Marsh.
- Erin Boll, with more than 20 years of experience in logistics insurance, was named director of underwriting. She was most recently senior vice president of logistics at DUAL North America.
- Anthony Clark, previously assistant vice president at DUAL North America, joins as associate director of underwriting.
- Logan Pearce, formerly associate counsel at Falvey Underwriting, joins as head of claims and recoveries. He will oversee claims operations and recovery strategy across ANOVA’s book of business.
