Lockton Insurance Brokers, the nation’s largest independently owned insurance broker, has named Bob Hussmann vice president and employee benefits practice leader. He will be based in Lockton’s recently opened San Francisco office.
Hussmann is a 25-year veteran of the insurance industry, including 10 years as a vice president with a national consulting firm. In his new post, Hussmann will be responsible for the establishment of the Employee Benefits practice, which complements the company’s operations in Northern California.
Commenting on his appointment, Russ Sands, chairman and CEO of Lockton/San Francisco, said, “Bob Hussmann is a seasoned insurance professional. His extensive knowledge of employee benefits will certainly grow our employee benefits business in the Bay Area. We are very pleased to have him as an important member of our team.”
Hussmann has been the President of the Northern California Employee Benefits Council for the past two years and is also an active member of several insurance companies’ advisory forums.
