Encino, Calif.-based NAS Insurance Services is offering a program to cover most medical-related services for risks that fall outside a medical malpractice policy because of no direct patient contact.
The Managed Care E&O/D&O and/or Miscellaneous E&O programs can include coverage for financial damages, as well as exposure to vicarious medical liability such as case management, utilization reviews, independent medical reviews, disease management, etc., the company said. Financial damage protection can extend to general practice management, medical billing/reimbursement consulting, transcription, managed care contracting, etc.
