California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the establishment of a Local Assistance Center to help victims of the recent Southern California wildfires. The center, located at Dexter Park, in Sylmar, Calif., will provide state and local services to those who have been displaced by the wildfires and suffered property loss and economic and other damages.
“This assistance center will provide the necessary services to help victims recover and give them the tools they need to get their lives back on track,” Schwarzenegger said.
The center, located at Dexter Park, 11053 North Trail, Sylmar, CA, will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21 and Wednesday October 22. Representatives from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, Contractors State Licensing Board, Franchise Tax Board, Board of Equalization, Department of Insurance, Department of Motor Vehicles and Employment Development Department will be at the center to provide information on services available to help those impacted by the Southern California wildfires.
