Encino, Calif.-based NAS Insurance Services has enhanced its miscellaneous medical malpractice insurance by adding an endorsement for Medefense Plus with a $25,000 sublimit and an option to increase the sublimit up to $100,000.
Medefense Plus is a program that offers coverage for defense costs and civil fines and penalties for billing errors, RAC audits, HIPAA, EMTALA and Stark proceedings for organizations delivering medical or medically-related services.
