Honolulu-based Island Insurance Co. Ltd., Hawaii’s largest locally owned and managed property and casualty insurance carrier, has appointed Jeff Fabry as senior vice president and chief information officer and chief security officer.
Fabry, who previously held the title of vice president and chief information officer, will continue to be responsible for the development and management of long-range corporate technology strategies that support the company’s strategic objectives.
Fabry has more than 25 years of information technology experience within the insurance industry. While at RLI Insurance Co., one of the premier specialty insurance companies in the United States, he managed the Distributed Technologies Division where he created one of the first commercial insurance web-based insurance systems as well as its web-based Hawaii Homeowners Insurance Program. Most recently, Fabry was president of The Glenwood Group, an Internet-based asset management software services company in Illinois.
