Governor-elect Matt Mead announced he will appoint Greg Phillips as the state’s attorney general.
Phillips has worked as an assistant U.S. attorney in Cheyenne for the past eight years. Phillips and Mead have been friends since attending the University of Wyoming, College of Law, and were partners in their own firm. Phillips also worked for Mead during Mead’s years as U.S. attorney for the district of Wyoming.
Attorney General Bruce Salzburg’s term ends at the end of the 2011 legislative session.
