Rosa Moran, 50, of Oakland, has been appointed administrative director of the California Division of Workers’ Compensation by Gov. Jerry Brown.
Moran has served as a workers’ compensation judge since 2005. Previously, she was an attorney in private practice from 1988 to 2005. Moran is a member of the Oakland Bench and Bar Association, the Filipina Women’s Network, the University of San Francisco Alumni Association, and the University of the Pacific Alumni Association.
This position requires Senate confirmation. The compensation is $132,179. Moran is a Democrat.
Carrie Nevans, who served as its acting administrative director since October of 2005, passed away in February, due to complications from kidney failure.
