Authorities say a large cargo ship has leaked an unknown amount of oil in the Los Angeles Harbor.
The Coast Guard says the leak was reported Sunday evening, where an oily sheen was visible near the vessel Istra Ace.
It’s not known how much fuel entered the water.
Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said the leak has stopped and a private cleanup company has placed booms in the water to contain the substance.
The Coast Guard, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Los Angeles Port Police and fire officials are investigating the leak.
