Laurie Zangwill-Infantino and Marjorie Segale, co-founders of Insurance Community Center/University, launched their business 10 years ago this month with a vision to create a center for learning and a community for sharing knowledge and skills.
“Our insurance world is constantly changing as new risks and solutions evolve,” Segale said. “Our mission is to assist insurance brokers, underwriters, and claims personnel to better understand our complex insurance world and provide them with the knowledge and tools to identify new risks and new insurance solutions for their customers.”
The Insurance Community/University is an insurance educational platform operated out of California offering more than 100 classes taught with live, interactive webinars. Insurance professionals can join the Insurance Community/University for an annual set fee as individuals or they may obtain memberships for the entire staff. As a member they can attend any of the classes throughout the year which qualify for CE in several states. Individuals can also sign up for classes on a non-member basis.
“I am most proud of the four designations we have created to encourage individuals to pursue a learning path and be rewarded for their commitment to professionalism,” Zangwill-Infantino said.
The four designations include: CCIP (construction); PLIC (Personal Lines); CLIC (Commercial Lines); and WCIP (Workers’ Compensation).
