San Diego, Calif.-based ICW Group Insurance Cos. has named Nicole Rathsam senior vice president, chief financial officer.
Rathsam will oversee the company’s premium audit and finance departments. She is in charge of driving the company’s financial strategy to support long-term growth targets for its workers’ compensation, assumed reinsurance and catastrophe lines of business.
Rathsam has more than 15 years of property/casualty insurance financial experience. Prior to ICW Group, Rathsam was with CNA Insurance Cos., where she began her career in internal audit and most recently was vice president of corporate financial planning, analysis and consolidations. At ICW Group,
ICW is the largest a held insurance company domiciled in California. ICW Group represents a group of workers’ comp, assumed reinsurance and catastrophe insurance carriers, including Insurance Company of the West and Explorer Insurance Co.
Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance has added two regional field executives as part of the company’s independent agent distribution organization.
The Pacific Region will now be headed up by Diane Mitchell, who assumes the role of senior vice president and pacific regional field executive. She will be based in Orange County, Calif. and serve California.
The Midwest will be led by Rich Meuret, who becomes the senior vice president and Midwest regional field executive, and he will be based in Indianapolis.
The combined distribution organization serves independent agents across Safeco personal lines and Liberty Mutual small commercial.
Mitchell has more than 30 years of experience at Liberty Mutual working with independent agents across all core aspects of the business. Most recently, Mitchell led the West Zone underwriting team focused on the small commercial segment. She was the Safeco California regional general manager from 2012 to 2018.
Liberty Mutual is headquartered in Boston, Mass., and offers a range of insurance products and services. Safeco Insurance sells personal automobile, homeowners and specialty products through a network of more than 10,000 independent insurance agencies throughout the U.S. Safeco is a Liberty Mutual Insurance company.
