Retail insurance platform Alkeme said it has acquired Venture Pacific Insurance Services, a Ladera Ranch, California-based brokerage operating in 50 states.
Venture Pacific specializes in construction, security guards, sports/ action sports, surf parks/ water parks, Gaming, entertainment, wholesale, cannabis and manufacturing.
Alkeme CEO Curtis Barton said the acquisition gives his new firm additional niche offerings and a nationwide customer base that spans the nation.
Alkeme Holdings was formed in January. It is sponsored by equity investor GCP Capital Partners, a middle market private equity investment firm that has been an active investor in the software, insurance and technology industries. GCP’s prior insurance investments include Acrisure, ClearView Risk, Ironshore and Republic Insurance.
Brandon Riggs, president of Venture Pacific Insurance Services, said his firm’s 40 people will be joining Alkeme, which is also based in Ladera Ranch.
