A former Washington State prosecutor has been arrested for investigation of attempted murder after he reportedly shot and critically injured a lawyer that he was going to face-off against in a court hearing. The alleged suspect was to have faced the lawyer in a contempt hearing for a civil case. According to authorities, the lawyer was shot outside his office after pulling up in his vehicle.

  • A Pennsylvania man who while in handcuffs reportedly escaped from state police while being arrested, later turned himself in the next day, still reportedly cuffed. The man said he turned himself in to authorities because he was supposed to be in court the next day and realized turning up in handcuffs was not an option. The man faced charges of resisting arrest, fleeing and eluding police, along with other counts.
  • Finally, it appears Santa Claus can get cookies and milk this holiday season, but not a flu shot.A Colorado man, who portrays the jolly figure each holiday season in area malls, was denied a shot recently at a flu clinic due to the fact he wasn’t 65 or impaired from any chronic health problems. The man indicated he gets the shot each year since he comes in contact with more than 10,000 kids during the holidays. No word if Mrs. Claus was denied too.
