PINnacle Xchange

September 5, 2005

CT Insurance Services introduced enterprise automation that integrates the compliance requirements for both securities registration and insurance licensing. It is expanding its PINnacle Xchange producer licensing software suite to include contracting and securities registration.

It provides an electronic process for collecting producer data, processing transactions with regulatory agencies, and managing critical business information regarding agents and brokers. It is said to support all industry standard interfaces, including DTCC, Web CRD, NIPR and CT Insurance Services’ own proprietary SEMCI.

DPI Electronically Transmitted Reports

Diversified Product Inspections Inc., headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tenn., is a provider of independent product failure analysis, air contamination and fire investigations for the insurance industry. It announced its clients would now be sent their product failure analysis reports electronically via a secure PDF file format.

DPI started transmitting reports, pictures, and invoices electronically, which will replace the reports being sent via U.S. Mail. They will be in a secure encrypted Acrobat Reader format accessible only with a password. Subrogation managers, claims managers and adjusters can access this new system via the DPI Web site by registering and setting up an account. While adjusters will only be able to access or view their own claims, managers will be able to view all their company’s completed reports.

It is designed to provide faster turnaround time by eliminating standard mail for delivery, which would also mean a significant savings in postage.

ISO’s Enhanced Netmap

ISO enhanced its NetMap for Claims software with several new functions to empower claims investigators with more robust search capabilities for improved claims investigations.

The new Version 4.5 provides investigators direct access to ISO ClaimSearch Decision Net public-records data, a new presentation tool, mapping capabilities, NICB Forewarn Alerts and query functions for ClaimDirector scoring participants.

The system analyzes internal and external fraud by sifting through massive quantities of data in insurers’ internal databases and the ISO ClaimSearch and Decision Net public-records databases. NetMap reveals hidden connections among seemingly unrelated entities that can indicate fraud, such as parties with multiple addresses, telephone numbers, vehicles and claims.

The new NetMap provides: Access to public-records information, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, property, bankruptcy and corporate information; public-records data and query result reports-a presentation tool that illustrates findings in an easily understood format for more efficient analysis; geographical mapping that displays where incidents occurred for greater insight into links revealed by the data; the ability for NICB members to import NICB Forewarn Alert bulletins into NetMap for analysis and for streamlining case referrals to the NICB; and the ability for ClaimDirector participants to query and analyze their scored claims in ISO ClaimSearch.
