A new survey shows that nearly one in three doctors in Connecticut are not happy practicing in the state and are considering changing jobs or moving.
Of course, insurance costs just happen to be one of the reasons, along with managed care restrictions, the cost of living in Connecticut and the longer hours they’re working.
The University of Connecticut Heath Center’s Institute for Public Health Research surveyed nearly 1,100 practicing physicians in Connecticut.
The survey’s sponsors warn that Connecticut may face a doctor shortage because of those conditions and difficulties in recruiting new doctors to the Nutmeg State.
