The Insurance Brokers’ Association of the State of New York (IBANY) announced that it recently elected officers for its 2002-2003 administration during the association’s spring board meeting.
Dick Impastato of North Stamford, Conn., president and CEO of Foa & Son Corp., was elected president of IBANY. The bulletin described the new president as, “An active member of IBANY’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee, Impastato has served as executive vice president for the past two years and previously served as chairman of the Government Affairs, Member Services and Centennial Committees.”
Donald F. Privett of New York, N.Y., president and owner of Privett Special Risk Services LLC, was elected executive VP. He most recently served a two-year term as secretary/treasurer. “Privett has been an IBANY member since 1987 and has served as chairman of the Government Affairs Committee and as a member of the Executive and Member Services Committees,” said the” announcement..
Walter L. Harris of New York, NY, CEO/president of Tanenbaum-Harber Co., Inc. was elected secretary/treasurer. Most recently, Harris chaired the Government Affairs Committee and served on the Executive Committee.
Kenneth M. Padgett of Larchmont, NY, managing director at Marsh USA Inc., will serve as immediate past president, following his recent two-year term as president. “Padgett will chair the Strategic Planning Committee and will continue to serve on the association’s Executive Committee. Previously, he served as executive vice president and as a member of the Government Affairs and Member Services committees,” the bulletin concluded.
