edocs Introduces Pre-Packaged Online Customer Care Solutions

Natick, Mass.-based edocs Inc. announced the immediate availability of a new set of pre-packaged offerings for financial services. Called Focused Solutions, the new offerings bundle industry best practices and best-in-class software functionality with required integration and professional services to enable rapid time to benefit and minimize upfront costs for customers.

The new Focused Solutions leverage edoc’s extensive experience while addressing current IT budget constraints with specific, pre-defined feature sets at a lower cost entry-point. These targeted solutions complement existing billing and customer care systems while also providing a platform companies can build on. edocs is targeting financial services organizations because they have already made significant investments in online account management and are looking to add value for customers and drive new business efficiencies.

Initially, edocs will offer three types of pre-packaged solutions: e-Statements, e-Billing, and Customer Self-Service. Solutions like e-Statements for Banking move transactional statements like those for checking/savings accounts, trade confirmations and tax documents online to improve customer access to account information and reduce paper and mailing costs. e-Billing for Insurance enables billers to quickly present bills at their own sites and/or distribute e-bills to online banking sites. Customer Self-Service for Credit Cards provides issuers with a complete end-to-end Web application that deflects customer calls by moving common customer inquiries to a company’s Web site. With these pre-packaged offerings, edocs enables companies to more quickly deploy self-service benefits to their customers while also delivering significant adoption and ROI for the company.

edocs’ Focused Solutions for financial services are available immediately and include:

e-Statements for Banking – Checking and Savings Accounts
e-Statements for Brokerage – Monthly/Quarterly Statements and eConfirmations
Customer Self-Service for Credit Cards

Each of the solutions includes a pre-defined project scope, reusable industry template, implementation plan, customer support, and required application functionality. edocs expects some customization for customers, but notes that this should be minimal based on the design of the product and service offerings. The solutions are available on a licensed, leased or hosted basis. The company plans to roll out additional Focused Solution offerings over the next 12 months.
