PIANY Congratulates Devereese on Completing Fundamentals of Insurance Certificate Program

The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. awarded Samantha Devereese with a certificate for her completion of the Fundamentals of Insurance Certificate Program. Devereese is the first recipient of this educational certificate in New York state.

“Earning this Fundamentals of Insurance Certificate is proof that Samantha has obtained a basic insurance education in commercial lines, as well as learned the responsibilities of agency employees in serving customers, providing accurate information to clients and following agency procedures,” said PIANY President T.J. Derella. “This strong knowledge base and the certificate she has earned will assist her throughout her career.”

The Fundamentals of Insurance Program is designed specifically for independent insurance agency employees with less than one year of experience in an agency setting. While enabling insurance novices to enjoy a logical sequence of study, the program provides a solid foundation in areas such as personal lines, commercial lines or multilines (personal and commercial) and can serve as a logical stepping stone for the Certified Insurance Service Representative and Certified Insurance Counselor designations.
