A Stowe man is facing eight arson charges that he set a series of fires over nearly two years that caused more than $1.5 million in damage, police said Wednesday.
Police say Jeffrey Nolan, 62, admitted to setting a fire that began that damaged the Stowe Public Library, on March 30, 2019.
Since then, there have been fires at two commercial buildings, a chiropractor’s office and two fires, including the most recent, Jan. 7, that damaged the Stowe Cable Vision office.
Nolan is being held for lack of bail.
He is due in court to answer eight charges of second-degree arson.
Nolan’s attorney did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
