Appalachian Underwriters Hires Tobin as Northeast Marketing Representative
Appalachian Underwriters Inc. (AUI) hired a new marketing representative to cover the Northeast region of the U.S.
Bob Tobin comes to AUI with years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically from the carrier side as a business developer. Residing in Long Island, New York, Tobin will work as a remote marketing rep, visiting AUI’s retail agents in the Northeast region.
AUI is a full-service managing general agency and wholesale insurance brokerage, providing independent agents a national outlet to multiple specialized markets for workers’ compensation, commercial specialty, life and personal lines of insurance. The principals of Appalachian Underwriters are Bob Arowood and Bill Arowood.

Jimcor Agency Hires McNamee as Sales Manager for New York
Jimcor Agency Inc., a national wholesale broker and managing general agency hired Bob McNamee as its new sales manager for New York.
McNamee will lead the New York offices including team members based in Long Island and Saratoga. He will also look to expand the presence of Jimcor in the New York region.
He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, most recently as the national business development director for global accounts with The Travelers, where he worked for more than 14 years.
This is the most recent announcement as Jimcor Agency continues its expansion of operations nationally, now writing in 43 states.
