American International Group, Inc. has named Rodney O. Martin, Jr. as chief operating officer of its worldwide life insurance business.
Martin will remain chairman, president and chief executive officer of AIG American General Life Companies and AIG executive vice president of life insurance, reporting to Edmund S.W. Tse, AIG senior vice chairman of life Insurance.
In his new position, Martin will focus on the growth and expansion of
AIG’s life insurance business around the world.
Martin was elected AIG executive vice president of life insurance in 2002. He was named president and CEO of the AIG American General Life Companies following AIG’s acquisition of American General Corporation in 2001.
