R&M Surveys UK Non-Life Market

October 11, 2007

Dublin’s Research and Markets announced the addition of Datamonitor’s new report – “Non-life Insurance in the United Kingdom” -to their offering.

R&M described the new industry profile as “an essential resource for top-level data and analysis covering the non-life insurance industry. It includes detailed data on market size and segmentation, plus textual and graphical analysis of the key trends and competitive landscape, leading companies and demographic information.”

The non-life insurance market includes not only the P/C sector, but also accident and health insurance. Its value is shown in terms of gross premium incomes.

“The non-life insurance market depends on a variety of economic and non-economic factors and future performance is difficult to predict,” R&M’s bulletin noted. “The forecast given in this report is not based on a complex economic model, but is intended as a rough guide to the direction in which the market is likely to move. This forecast is based on a correlation between past market growth and growth of base drivers, such as house price growth, GDP growth and long-term interest rates.”
