DUAL, the underwriting arm of the Hyperion Insurance Group, announced it has appointed Amanda Hayes as managing director of Latin America and Caribbean Business Development. Hayes starts on August 1 and will report to DUAL’s global chief underwriting officer, Talbir Bains.
Hayes moves from RK Harrison where she was divisional director of their reinsurance broking team. Prior to that, Hayes held a number of senior roles at the Aon Group including five years with Aon Re Latin America, based in Miami. Prior to joining Aon she worked for Heath de Colombia, based in Bogota.
Shane Doyle, DUAL CEO, commented, “Latin America and the Caribbean are important territories for DUAL. I’m delighted Amanda is joining us to add depth to our Caribbean and Latin American team and to drive our business in this region. Our property proposition there will also be enhanced with a wide range of products including professional lines, marine and general liability.”
Bains said: “This appointment is great news for DUAL. We already have a strong presence in the Caribbean property market so expanding our product portfolio is a logical next step. Our Latin America distribution network is keen to access DUAL’s innovative range of products.”
