Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Appoints Semprini from HDI Global as Head Italy

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Francesco Semprini as head Italy, effective Nov. 1, 2019. Based in Milan, Semprini will be responsible for managing the strategy, development and performance of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ business in Italy.

Semprini has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial insurance sector. Most recently, he was head of the Italian branch of HDI, a position he held for nearly 13 years. He has held several leadership roles and has a strong underwriting and customer-focused background, said Swiss Re.

An Italian national, Semprini holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a master’s degree in Insurance Engineering from CINEAS di Milano. He is fluent in English and French.
