Guy Carpenter announced today the appointment of Andrea Piatti as a managing director, Global Risk Solutions.
Piatti will be responsible for serving clients in the customized reinsurance space across Europe and Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including structured reinsurance treaties and capital management/solvency-related transactions.
Piattiihas 20 years of reinsurance market experience. Prior to joining Guy Carpenter, he was head of European M&A and business development at Armour Risk Management Ltd., and has also held senior positions at MS Amlin, Amlin Re Europe and Partner Re. He is also a consultant for Global Parametrics.
Based in Zurich, Piatti will work with Guy Carpenter’s broking and analytics teams across the region. He will report to Frank Achtert, head of Strategic Advisory, EMEA, and Ronnie Carroll, managing director, Global Risk Solutions.
Ed Hochberg, head of Global Risk Solutions, said Guy Carpenter is seeing greater demand for customized reinsurance products across Europe and MENA.
