The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) announced a Hamilton County man has been sentenced for committing workers’ compensation fraud.
Adolphus Hill was sentenced to five years of probation and restitution to BWC in the amount of $54,705.49.
BWC’s special investigations unit (SIU) was notified through a confidential referral Hill was working while receiving benefits. The SIU was reportedly able to confirm that Hill was employed by Perkins Family Restaurants as a kitchen manager while receiving BWC benefits.
Hill’s original injury occurred in August 1987. While working for Serta Mattress Company, he suffered a back injury. BWC allowed the claim and began providing him benefits for multiple back problems.
