The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud reported that Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius signed a law requiring insurers to report suspected schemes to the state fraud bureau.
SB 207 also gives insurers immunity from reporting of suspected schemes, and requires insurers to develop anti-fraud plans.
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius is the state’s former insurance commissioner and is also a former National Association of Insurance Commissioner president.
