The 2009 Ohio Diversity and Leadership Conference announced recently that Gale King, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Nationwide Insurance; and Kathy Mabe, president and chief operating officer of Titan Insurance and division president of specialty products for Nationwide were recognized by the organization and listed among the most powerful and influential women in Ohio.
King and Mabe were both recognized for their ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion and for advancing diversity best practices in their leadership roles at Nationwide. Nationwide is also being recognized as a leader in the area of diversity and inclusion in Ohio.
Mabe became president and chief operating officer of Titan Insurance and division president of Specialty Products for Nationwide in 2008. She has held many key roles within Nationwide including president of Nationwide Insurance Western Operations, chief marketing officer for Nationwide Insurance, vice president of Auto Product and Pricing, and vice president of Commercial Insurance Operations. Her early career included various positions with the commercial underwriting operations.
King became executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Nationwide in 2009. King began her insurance career as a claims representative and later served in numerous human resources leadership roles.
