Lindsay Scott has been named as the legislative liaison for the Ohio Department of Insurance. She will work in the Executive Office’s Legislative Affairs Division.
Scott’s duties will include interfacing with legislators, government agencies and other stakeholders on insurance matters, as well as addressing constituency insurance issues.
Scott joins the department from Atlanta, Ga., where she worked in public affairs. During her time at Piedmont Public Affairs, she worked with legislators on behalf of the firm’s many clients and various issues, including her specialty health care.
Scott also previously worked as the associate director at the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce in Sandy Springs, Ga. She helped establish the Chamber, guiding its transition from a business association. Scott was responsible for the Chamber’s annual Business Expo and Executives Roundtables and other significant initiatives.
She is currently pursuing her Registered Health Writer designation from The American College.
