Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Trip Mate Inc., based in Kansas City, Mo.
Established in 1989, Trip Mate is a full service travel insurance agency that provides a wide variety of travel protection plans and services for their travel industry clients throughout the United States. The firm specializes in trip cancellation/interruption, lost baggage and traveler assistance programs sold through travel agencies, tour operators and cruise lines.
Bradley Finkle and his colleagues will continue to operate from their Kansas City and Northridge, Calif., locations under the direction of Kevin Garvin, head of Gallagher’s North American affinity operations.
Gallagher Chairman, President and CEO Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said the acquisition gives his firm “a great entry point into the travel insurance marketplace.”
Arthur J. Gallagher& Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, is headquartered in Itasca, Ill.
