Three women were charged with insurance fraud following an investigation by the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau.
Danesha Minor, 37, of Des Moines was charged with presenting false information (Class D Felony), conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony (Class D Felony) and theft 3rd degree (Aggravated Misdemeanor).
Markita Hodges, 34, of Des Moines was charged with Presenting False Information (Class D Felony), conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony (Class D Felony) and theft 2nd degree (Class D Felony).
Jordan Zenor, 25, of Des Moines was charged with presenting false information (Class D Felony).
The charges against Minor, Hodges and Zenor stem from an investigation which began in 2021. According to criminal complaints filed by the Iowa Insurance Division’s Fraud Bureau, Minor, Hodges and Zenor provided false statements to an insurer in connection with a personal property insurance claim. Minor and Hodges received insurance benefits due to these false statements.
All three were arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail where they later posted bond.
