Workers’ Comp Fraud Charges Filed Against Oklahoma Woman

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt says his office has filed charges against a Midwest City woman, accusing of her allegedly attempting to defraud the state’s workers’ compensation system.

Pruitt announced that his office had charged 45-year-old Lana Carol Hebrink with one count of workers’ compensation fraud. The charges accuse Hebrink of making false statements about injuring her leg on the job at a dentist’s office.

According to Pruitt, video surveillance showed Hebrink walking without the use of the cane, which she said in her workers’ compensation claim that she could not do.

If convicted, Hebrink faces up to seven years in prison and $10,000 in fines. Court records do not list an attorney for Hebrink.
