The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded several earthquakes in northern Oklahoma, including two of magnitude 4.0.
No damage or injuries are reported from the Tuesday and Wednesday temblors.
The USGS reports a 4.0 magnitude earthquake one mile northwest of Cushing at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and a second 4.0 quake shortly before midnight about 15 miles northeast of Mooreland. Cushing is about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City while Mooreland is about 105 miles northwest.
Cushing Emergency Management Director Bob Noltensmeyer said there are no damage reports other than “shattered nerves.” Woodward County Emergency Manager Matt Lehenbauer says no is damage reported at Mooreland.
Wednesday morning, the USGS also recorded 3.4 and 3.5 magnitude quakes near Pawnee and six quakes ranging from magnitude 1.4 to 2.9 near Cushing.
