The Oklahoma County Assessor’s Office says a tornado that hit parts of Oklahoma County last week caused more than $330,000 in damage.
The assessor’s office said Friday that it surveyed damage at five properties. One home was destroyed, while the other properties had roof and minor damage to homes or outbuildings.
Chief Deputy Assessor Larry Stein says the assessor’s office has reduced the value of the homes, meaning that the property taxes will be reduced as well.
The National Weather Service confirmed two EF1 tornadoes on April 26. One hit in southwest Oklahoma City and had a 3-mile path and winds of up to 95 mph. The other tornado struck northeast Oklahoma City and Luther and had a 10-mile path and winds of up to 105 mph.
